Marlings launches new Burbury contract carpet tile range
Marlings is delighted to announce the latest addition to its contract carpet tile range: the Burbury. The Burbury contract carpet tile is a competitively priced nylon loop pile tile, ideal for restrained budgets. Burbury is made from solution dyed nylon, which is colourfast, stain-resistant and bleach-proof. Colour is locked-in making cleaning and maintenance extremely straight forward. Burbury, with its tight low level loop, is eminently suitable for all commercial applications including offices, schools, universities and public buildings.
LRV values available to aid compliance with DDA
Marlings Ltd now has Light Reflectance Values (LRVs) available for all its carpets. This will help specifiers and flooring contractors conform to the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) guidance in Building Regulations Part M. This recommends that adjacent critical surfaces and features have a visual contrast difference of 30 LRV points.
We are working in partnership with NCS Colour Centre to establish the LRVs of our carpets. NCS Colour Centre is licensed to use the international colour system (ICS), enabling clear communication and accurate measurement of colour. Tests are carried out in accordance with BS8493:2008 Light Reflectance Value method of test.
